Red-tailed Hawk
SoCal
Taken this morning in some late light as the Hawks locally here have been active as I look forward to shooting
them this winter especially when I get my 600mm back from being serviced.
This shot was taken using the 70-200 2.8 with a 1.7 TC not a bad combo at all just
wished I had more reach.:(

Thanks For Looking

James, great banking angle, and the hawk pops from the BG very well. Well captured.

Hi James, love this shot. Looks like it could do with more detail in the face and the talons. A bit of selective contrast perhaps. Cheers, Paul Randall

Lovely image Jim, nice light and wing spread. loved the eye contact too, the BG showing habitat adds well here, congrats..

very beautiful Jim, the key is to capture a colorful BG which you have managed very well here. The light was a bit harsh and lifting of the shadows has revealed some noise in the dark areas. Still a great shot
