beautiful pose and eye contact , I think compo can be improved by cropping a bit from right , I may tone down sky patches to pop up bird

Super pose and eye contact as mentioned. It's right leg looks injured and if so, remarkable for its ability to survive despite the handicap.

Hi Anupam,
Beautiful shot of the bird. I think that this would work well as a vertical and I too would be tempted to tone down the highlights.
Best,

Hi Anupam,
Nearly all birds sit one leg when they relax or sleep, but I go with Dave this looks a lot like a broken leg.
I like the picture, sadly the perch is blocking the view of the bird's tail. and because the perch is the bottom end of the picture it amplifies this impression. I wonder how it would look if you give it a little more room at the bottom and go for a vertical crop. I think the BG is great as is the exposure, colors,...

I would agree that the foot/leg is injured. Looks at least like bumble-foot. The image is a bit dark overall and could use a contrast boost. And as several folks mentioned at your other posts (I think), the large black frame is oppressive at best.
