I like the unusual position and I love the way the gull is looking right at you.

As you mention, I think the bird would look better with a crop that gives it room to fly. Easy fix, if you're so inclined.

Dario, if you have more room, move the Gull up in the frame. Great pose, wrong light angle, producing shadows across the body.

I really like the pose and eye contact but would go for a different crop. More room at the bottom and you might tone down the whites on the wings a bit. It looks a bit overexposed
