Hi all. This past weekend at Viera there was such nice light. This great egret flew by and I could not resist. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f/4. f/7.1, 1/3200, iso 640, with the prototype long lens support my husband has developed. More details on that device on my blog, www.naturesportal.blogspot.com (http://www.naturesportal.blogspot.com). C&C always welcomed:).

Excellent detail! A couple of hot spots on my laptop monitor, but otherwise very nice. Good luck with the new support!

Sweet light indeed. I also see the spots, it must be the light temperature. Cooling it a bit or using the recovery feature on your conversion should take care of it.
Hope to see you soon :)

Nice exposure Nancy, with great detail. I checked out the long lens support. What a creative solution..coming from someone who hand holds the 500mm :)

Very beautiful. I liked the wing position a lot. Most times I see great egrets flying with slightly open beaks. wonder why?
The support does look very ineresting indeed.

Great job and I'm glad to see you husbands support rig helped you capture this, that means it works. Nice and sharp and the eye really pops. Congrats
