VAB - One o fthe largest (volume) buildings in the world.

At the time it was built, the Vehicle Assembly Building was the largest building by volume in the world. I believe the Russians built a bigger one, but this is still big by any standard. There are four Saturn Rocket assembly areas inside. The Saturn when on its crawler and with the attached tower, cleared the top of the 525 foot doors by less than six feet.

It is hard to describe the size of the building. The width of the stripes on the flag are equal to the length of a standard Greyhound bus.

Note the size of the trees, they are full grown.

How big is it? Clouds can form inside the building.

Just a little out building at Kennedy Space Center.

Well worth the cost of the tour to see history then and now. This is akin to the Prairie Schooners that my grandmother use to tell us about. A new fronteer for the future.
