Mendocino Coast Witches Claws

The area where I live is famous for its coastal fog which rolls in from the ocean to blanket the coastal range. These Tan Oak trees near my house yesterday reminded me of witches claws.

Ordinarily "witches" pictures at this time of year are black and white Glad you didn't go there just for holiday theme. The touches of color add so much. Great capture. And I like that little broken off branch in the foreground....rounds out the effect.
