Dear All
We have Diwali night toady and lot of fire crackers will be there
Would love to get some tips from experts on this , never done before
I can shoot from one bridge here
I have D700, 50mm, 300mm, 600mm

All help is much appreciated

If you are referring to what we call fireworks it's pretty easy to get the basics down in one night.

manual, ISO around 125, f/11, using a remote shutter release is what I do on bulb setting, tripod mounted, manual focus.

For starts open your shutter when you hear the shell leave the mortar and keep open until the explosions trails have vanished.

It's pretty a matter of just playing around with exposure times and getting what your after.

Mike covered fireworks, but if this is more like a candle festivity I'd use 50mm set to f/2 to f/2.8 ISO 1600 to capture people and ambiance. Give us more information about the settings or some sample shots.
