Beautiful flight image Jim with excellent detail and pose as well as a killer BG. Love it.

Jim- motion totally frozen well. Am I seeing an abundance of speckled noise in the bird's wing and body? if so, I guess that's the penalty for using ISO 1000. Wondering if you can reduce this without sacrificing plumage detail?

Great pose and BG. I agree with Jeff regarding sharpening artifacts. There also seems to be a slight blue cast.

Nice pose and BG, Jim. I agree there looks to be some noise I suppose due to the ISO1000. His eye looks a little soft. Almost like the nictating membrane was across or something.....the catchlight not being sharp is what is doing it I think....

Beautiful capture Jim. Wing and shoulder colors really stand out. I agree with Jody-it does look as if the nictating membrane might be down due to the dull eye. But what a capture!
