I am thinking about a new HP 18 inch HDX18 laptop with 1920X1080 display. Instead of the usual aspect ratio of 16:10 on most laptop screens this is 16:9. How would this effect my photo work ? This is my only computer so all of my work would be done on this laptop.

As long as the aspect ratio is correct, there shouldn't be any problems. Are you waiting until Windows 7 will be pre-installed?

No, comes with 64bit Vista with a free upgrade to 7. I will wait until service pack 1 comes out with corrections before installing 7.

Then you might benefit from the 64bit version of PS, in case you don't have it yet.
