I photographed this heron at a local pond. They are usually quite skittish but this one let me get close and the image is pretty much full frame.

great exposure and pose with the foot up - BG to die for. if you're into that kind of thing I would consider removing the twig and piece of bark below the perch.

looks beautiful Axel , I too would prefer the twig running down cloned, loved the light , the eye contact looks good and the rised foot adds well, great Bg too, congrats..
