Ramesh:

Interesting bird, soft backlighting, sharp, nice display of the tail.

The perch isn't very attractive unfortunately. I also think the image is a bit dark, and can be safely brought up without blowing out the high lights.

From a composition standpoint, I would move the bird just a fraction to the right of the frame, so the tail is pointing right towards the corner. That would decenter him just a bit.

Thanks for sharing!

Ramesh:

I had a second, so increased the exposure by .50, lightened the eye slightly, brought up the front of the bird very slightly with the dodge tool.

Just an option to consider. Manipulating the jpeg has brought up a bit more noise in the background, easily handled in your raw file.

Beautiful bird.

Beautiful bird and nice details.I like Randy's repost . The perch cuts across the frame a bit much for me. Agree it needs some NR. Still a very nice image TFS.

I like the simplicity here. Nice BG, good composition and good-looking specimen. I would lighten the image a bit, wish for more eye contact and would run NR on the BG. Keep them coming!

Good natural colours captured on the BE, and although the angle is a bit high, I have never seen a BE any lower - they always seem to perch fairly high up. Another vote for some NR on the BG.
