These roosting Red Knots (non-breeding plumage) seemed peaceful enough.

Hi Bill, IMO the vignetting works well here and I'm able to zero in directly on the group. I like your effect and the subtle color. I like the fact that the vast majority have a similar pose. If this image were mine I would take out the two birds that are in the backround feeding. Nice presentation...

Thanks Dave. Quickly removed the feeding birds. Didn't use the original image, or I'd have to do the vingette again, etc. regards~Bill

Bill, Really nice looking peaceful image. I like the black border w/ the vignette. I may have only removed the one bird in the back on the right as I liked the tail up and leg of the other one in the composition-but I imagine everyone will have an opinion about it. Nice clean removal. And nice huddled group of Knots.

Nice image and application Bill. I would agree with Denise on this one. I think the other bird helps fill out the void in the image, while the smaller one did not contribute that much. But,

Your image ... Your Vision.

Beautiful image, Bill. Love the composition. I see Denise's point on the one feeding bird filling up a void in the comp, but I also think that the second image emphasizes the peaceful feel more, so I could go either way on that. Well done!
