On my recent visits to 2 different SW FL locations I have had great opportunities to shoot Marbled Godwits.

I liked this one as it was a little different. I have many in good light and great light with water drops from the bill, but wanted to post this instead. It does get some softness from the Picasa upload and resizing.

hello gavin,

very nice image here. the foreground is a bit distracting IMHO. All else seems to be in place.

loved the low angle, the light is good and the open bill adds well, congrats..

Don't see many tongue pics with shorebirds. FG is fine and low angle adds to it too. Exposure is well handled too.

Nice light, pose and BG. Foreground is a bit dominant, and I wish we could see the feet. I would suggest resizing in PS before uploading, as you get a sharper image.

Excellent - I like the calling pose and tongue, nice light and sharp.

This is just very nice. The open bill with its tongue is a nice bonus.
