Chase Alexander Shadle
Born to Blake(aka Overlord) and Micah on 10/04/2009
Chase weighed in at 8lb 4oz.

I am one happy and proud grandpa (what? surely I'm not old enough to be a grand father!)

What a day. It started on Tampa Bay with sharp golden light and thousands of birds to photograph.
Then just as I was completing the morning session of a 3 day, "A Day On The Bay Workshop" with Jay Gould I received the call from Blake.
Jay and I motored back to the dock and loaded up the boat. Then it was off to the hospital. Jay was a ride share hostage and patiently waited with the family for word of the birth. About 3 hours later we got word of the heathy baby boy and another hour or so before grandpa got see my new grand baby.

Praise Jah for this blessing.

Jay, thank you for being such a patient and supportive friend!

Thanks everyone! It's been an interesting journey. But I have to say it was well worth the trip. We couldn't be happier with our little man. We'll have plenty more pics to come haha :)

That's one of the best nature shots I've seen on this forum to date.
Congratulations Blake, Micah, James and the entire family.
I wondered why I hadn't seen you lately, Blake.
Does he automatically get a lifetime membership to BPN?
I also love the name, "Chase". Even if he doesn't become a nature photographer, he'll do well in whatever he pursues.
