Hi all,

I'm wanting to know how I would go about developing one of those cool watermarks which a few people on this site put on their photos, particularly ones of a more 'graphic' nature? I am familiar with using text as a watermark along the lines of the Al and Fabs Forns do, but am looking to develop something a bit 'sexier' to put on images. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks, Dean
P.S. Hope I've posted this in the correct forum!

Do you have BreezeBrowser Pro by any chance?

If so...real simple...

1. Highlight the image you want to watermark.
2. From the menu, select: Tools->Proofs
3. Under Image Settings, check the Watermark 1 box.
4. Click Settings.
5. The next box will let you use text that you specify or
an image (so you can create your own fancy graphic and
use that as your watermark). You can also determine
things like opacity and placement.
6. Make sure you have a different output directory specified,
else you'll overwrite your original image.
7. The other selections, just choose to your specs.

I do Doug, thanks for the info. I'll give it a crack tonight. In the past I've just used text in PS to do the job, but as I said something a little fancier would be nice. Thanks.

Any other thoughts welcome too.

Thanks for the tutorial Doug.

I actually found out about watermarking by accident. Normally,
I'd look to Photoshop to do this. Just out of dumb luck, I had BB
open and wondered what 'proofs' would do. Low and behold, watermark.

Here's an example...

I just made a transparent image of my logo, told BB where the image was
and picked 75% transparency.

Voila! Custom watermark.
