The Florida Keys Wild Bird Sanctuary in Tavernier is cooking with white birds on great perches especially in the afternoon; tons of snowy egrets; great egrets; great white herons; ibis; pelicans; ....

did not see any migrants yet but the perched egrets are a blast to shoot at eye level or slightly below against the sky ....

Took an afternoon trip today to Bird Sanctuary. lots of egrets, pelicans and 4 white herons. Blue sky provides some wonderful opportunities for portraits.

Thanks Michael.

I had stormy skies; but blue skies are always welcome for portrait shots ...

Cool update guys...I haven't been down in the keys in more than a year. I can't believe it's been that long. I'll try to check it out sometime. Thanks!

I love the place.

I love the place.
Great Blue Heron White Morphs and Wurdeman's Herons last time I was there.

FYI - a friend of ours just photographed a few days ago a Wurdeman in the lower keys at the Key Deer Sanctuary. It was a chance sighting; but he was there at the right time.

No sightings in the upper keys as of yet.
