Waiting for the decision, indecision<o></o>
Depression, hesitation<o></o>
<o></o>Another day has slipped away<o></o>
<o></o>
Opportunity ahead, procrastination instead<o></o>
Liberation, frustration<o></o>
<o></o>Another day has slipped away<o></o>
<o></o>
Finished today, tomorrow<o></o>
Energetic, apathetic<o></o>
<o></o>Another day has slipped away<o></o>
<o></o>
Making plans, idle hands<o></o>
Completed, defeated<o></o>
<o></o>Another day has slipped away
<o></o>
Years ahead, soon I’m dead<o></o>
Participation, separation<o></o>
<o></o>End of days, they’ve all slipped away

Ok, I didn't get as much done today as I had hoped:).<o></o>

Did someone perhaps have a bad day or something...hmmmmm...ya think?

That aside, the poem is excellent, especially in the way you articulate the contradictions in your own feelings.

To paraphrase a photography saying, "Bad days can make for good poems." Nice work.

James, Very thoughtful words w/ a beautiful image to go with it. Makes me feel like I can't waste another minute. Well done.

I really love parts of the poem - particularly:

Opportunity ahead, procrastination instead
Liberation, frustration
Another day has slipped away

That sure does nail down how I've felt on long weekends where all my good intentions to get things done end with me watching a Law and Order marathon on television followed by a good many naps!

Excellent image for this poem, James. I'd clean up the couple of specks in the sun and perhaps sharpen the boat a bit more but wow...what impact!

Julie,
Thanks it does need a USM pass.
The spots are real "Sun Spots" that's why I left them.

All to often, I find myself falling into the procrastination trap. Thanks for some very meaningful words. Love the photo, looks a little more luxurious than my dad's boat.

Hey James,
Very powerful words......but my guess is procrastinators will read it later:cool:......hopefully this does make people think and take action! I don't know if I can handle both you and I writing poems in the same week:eek:!

James, excellent image and words that make me realize that time is not just my own personal nemesis.
