Surprise catch when the fella flew out of the tree.

Great timing Jay and lovely detail. and especially great eye contact. I like this very much as an environmental capture. Thanks for sharing !

Really great catch, especially since you were surprised by him. Not much you could have done about it reacting quickly, but the bird gets a little lost in the BG for me (an I like environmental images well enough).

I think a slight crop from the left, about half the distance between the edge of the frame and the tip of the wing, would be a good idea.

Glad you were able to lock in on the bird I always did well with the Mk2n AF wise Excellent exposure on the bird and good wing position !!!

Jay I'd be pleased with this capture although the BG is busy.

Mark IIn can do these things.

Mark III with the Mark IIn focusing system would be our killer camera.
