Great photo in excellent light. My only thought for improvement is minor, I find myself wanting to see the whole reflection.

Beautiful warm tones here and an equally beautiful bird Dario. Did you apply some blur to BG as there appears to be a halo around the front and dorsal aspect of the Mandarina?

Hi John
and thank you for the comment
No I don't, but now I agree with you, I have to remove this strange reflex.

Yes Chris I agree with you, but unfortunately I don't have the whole reflection...:(

Dario,

Beutiful light and bird. I would crop some of the top off to balance the image with the bottom. The blurring of the BG requires a more careful selection to not get the halo effect. If the BG is not significantly in focus, you could repost w/o this blurring and let us take a look.

A slight head turn of the bird towards you is needed to put it over the top. Thanks.

Beautiful colors and placement works for me. The halo effect is a bit distracting.

Very nice work. I think a little clock-wise rotation and removing the dark area behind the bird's head would strengthen the image. Keep up the good work!

A beautiful bird and the water color is very nice. There are quite a few blown out areas in the BG and bird though which I find very distracting. Also the brighter and darker spots in the BG are less than ideal.

Awesome lighting and a beautiful subject. I do find the halo a bit distractiing as well as the dark behind the ducks head. Thanks for sharing !
