Took the family up north, for the new years holiday.
Very close to a beautiful, rocky and a little remote shore, lots of shore birds all around...
Yesterday was wonderful weather, but I didn't choose the best spot. this image is one of a few.
This morning I went back, the poor weather and the very high sea did not hold me back,
45 min' later the sea gave me a small taste, everything got wet...
Audio and speaker are dead, I barely saved the camera.
I have to go back...

Gal:

Nice story, glad you didn't drown. :)

Nice pose, like the slightly raised front foot.Sharp, well exposed, good HA.

I might crop 20% of the free space off the top, just a matter of taste really.

Thanks for your efforts and the sharing!

Randy

I love the pose, light, perch, colors, detail and BG, I would've left more room at the bottom though and as Randy's said, a crop from top would improve comp. Congratulations!

Nice pose and clean smooth BG. I prefer tighter on top too.

I like the angle, eye contact and BG and would put the bird a bit higher in the frame.

Super pose, and I like the light, detail and overall colours. This is sharp, and I would maybe lighten the eye a little. I agree adding a bit to the bottom will work.

Pointing your lens down a bit would have given you a stronger comp. Having a bit of fill-flash would have been good for the dark chest. Good pose by the turnstone. The orange legs look great against the blue sea.

Close call on the gear - glad the photo equipment survived!
