Chris:

Lovely soft light, well exposed, sharp, nice underwing detail, what a bill.

The head is angled ever so slightly away, but it still displays well.

There is some blotchy color noise throughout the background, esp. noticeable in front of the birds head.

Cheers

Thanks Randy, I ran no NR on this and my old eyes can't make out the noise in this highly reduced image (33% Crop) then reduced to 800X800, the main image is massive and I don't know if the reduction in image size in CS3 can introduce noise.

I am getting great images with the 5DMKII on BIF (with much practice) but file size is a problem but thanks for the info I will look more closely next time around.:)

Beautiful feather detail and good exposure. BIF with MKII does take a lot of practice!
I don't see any blotches on my screen.

Beautiful image. Sharpness and detail is fine. Love the gentle shadow of the head on the inner wing.
Lights are lovely.

I like the light Chris, and good show of the full underwings. Overall sharp, and I see a slight hint of noise, but not distracting at all.

Great light and feather detail. To be frank, from memory this is easily the most impressive bird photo of yours I have ever seen. Excellent job. :)

Thanks folks but in all fairness much can be attributed to this amazing camera if it only had more than 3.9 fps, but then again the low frame rate teaches you precision and patience and it is much lighter than the 1D MKIII

The full size prints are amazing.
