Taken as part of a lesson plan to illustrate wide angle use and visual perspective.

1Ds Mark III, 14mm
Manual, spot + 1.7EV off wh flower, 1/640 @ f/2.8, ISO 400
Post-production- LR2, CS4, from 12 in laptop

Hey Chas,
Love the depth and colors with the distant mountain. I may have preferred this a bit more off center with the FG flower....say placed more on the right ROT vert line....but you may have had other "stuff" to the left that wouldn't work....so nicely done as presented.

I would have tilted the camera up just slightly to give a little more sky, and used a much slower aperture. To me the background is just enough out of focus to be distracting, and if you want the background out of focus, it should be more out of focus (just my opinion). Did you shoot this scene with a small aperture? I would like to see that for comparison.
