Snow Goose Portrait

I went back to a local pond this morning where I saw a Red-necked Phalarope yesterday. The phalarope probably went south overnight but two snow geese were cooperative.

Great whites and perfect portrait pose, BG nice and clean not too uniform either.
I like the eye, just right brightness to see some detail with nice catch-light.

Nice pose and eye contact. Good DOF too. You nailed the whites; aperture priority with no exposure compensation. Did you have to pull them back much in RAW processing?

Good to be flexible about what you shoot, no Phalarope, but still a very nice image!

Thanks, Doug! I adjusted the image in ACR to -0.1. The evaluative metering of the Mark III works very well.

Wow, the green BKGR puts this over the top for me. We never see anything like this at Bosque plus it is usually hard to get close. Love the clean feathers and bill and the perfect EXP.
