Nice catch! I like the pose and the composition,nice to see the environment included. Wish for a better HA.

Although I normally don't mind inclusion of habitat when it is worth it, this time I find it too bold and defined and the heron gets somewhat lost within it. I agree with Michael on the HA. Sharpness looks great - you did well with that, and I love the raised crest and downward wingstroke. That meal is a nice bonus for sure.

Thanks folks... the abbreviation HA escapes me. What does HA stand for?

HA = head angle. We comment on it so much, that we had to abbreviate it!

ahhhh of course, head angle. Thanks. Yep, I wish these darn birds would be cooperative when they are being photographed in that split second. ;-)

I agree with Daniel on the bg, but the fact you managed to capture this fast bird so sharply is remarkable. And lol, Randy.
