Yellow Warbler

Upper Texas Coast

D3, 850 MM, ISO 1000, f10, 1/400, fill @ - 0.2.

This was a setup I did today over a water drip. The leaves on the plant were naturally chewed up. Full frame.

Alan,

Seeing your photos is always a pleasure to the eyes. Very well composed, nice colors, BG and perfect techs. Ok...let's pick on something....can you look for nicer leafs for next time? :-) Big congratulations.

The colors in this are pretty stunning. I like all the contrast with the strong color sets. The leaf creeping in on the left is a bit of a distraction as is the red stem in the LRC that is sticking through the bottom of the frame. Very pretty image.

Looked at this image again on my calibrated monitor. The yellows seemed a little over saturated. While they may really be that bright, I thought this small desaturation provided more detail. Hope you don't mind my small edit.

Alan, I like the colorful composition and the fantastic details. Agree w/ the removal of the leaf. Very nicely done.

Love it - the perfect perch for this time of year. I just got an indigo bunting on it this week. I picked my chewed up leaves off the plant but it ended up looking unnatural - I like them just the way you have it here.

Actually I do not know why ,but I like the insect chewed leaves possibly because it is real life.
Nice composition and position of bird and perch detail. Yep probably cropped the leaf on left edge.
