Taken yesterday, laying in a smelly five inch thick mud, so much fun... wish I could do this every day...

I like the angle, walking pose, eye contact and sharpness. This really does look muddy. You mean you want to lie in mud every day? :) I might crop a bit off the top and enhance the catchlight a little.

Ah, a juvie. You did well in relatively harsh light. Opening up the darks around the face and neck would work.

Looking at the mud on the foot of the plover, I would hate to see what you looked like, but there again, the low angle has paid off nicely. Exposure looks good, and overall, nice and sharp.

Lovely angle on this little cutie, muddy foot is good reminder of habitat. I agree on brining up the shadows a bit.

I would lie in mud everyday for shots like this! Super low angle, colours and angle of the bird!
Love the uplifted foot. I wish for a slightly lower angle of sun to render a catchlight in the eye!
Super effort and well worth the time in the mud!

Hmmm great angle and posture! It was worth the smell:-) Light slightly harsh, agree with Artie on opening upm the darks a bit.
