Cannot upload Pix

Sorry to trouble you guys but I cant work out the problem here. When in "manage attachments" trying to upload an image, an error message comes up giving me the file limit size of 1024 X 800 and then goes on to say it cannot adjust the size of the file to be upload, currently 768 X 1024 @ 181kbs. The file is obviously within limits so what am I doing wrong?

Chris, the file limit is 800 pixels vertically, I guess this is the problem.
