1D2n, 600mm f4 is, 1/800s, f4, iso 200. Evening light.

Taken this evening. This tufted duck was making the most of the first decent weather for a month or so.
I'm using a trial version of CS4, and I'm not sure if I've saved this properly for web presentation.

Ian, this one made me smile. He's obviously relaxed in your pond. The colors and exposure look good to me, so you must have saved it properly. Nice job, again!

Looks good to me as well. Love the low angle, feather detail and the smooth background.

Super on all counts as noted above. Love the slightly open bill and the perfect head angle (which for images of preening birds is almost always sqaure to the back of the camera). My only wish is that the nictitating membrane was not partially covering the corner of the bird's eye.

Love it, nice soft water and light, great pose etc.
I don't quite understand what is the white circle around the bird,
where is that color coming from, can't be the reflection of the bird?

Ilija, I believe that the disturbed water near the bird is reflecting the sky....

Excellent exposure Ian, and looks like he is really enjoying his bath. The open beak says it all. Comp wise, I would maybe take a bit off the bottom.

Art's spot on. The water was flat calm, and only disturbed when the bird rolled over.

Pretty cool light, behavior and angle. I might crop a bit off the top.

Aha, on overcast day it would make sense, smart one...

The low angle and the behaviour put together puts this over the top for me.
