This was taken some time ago (I haven't got out much recently). I was standing on a bridge above the action. I always liked the image and meant to post the image, but some seaweed needed to be cloned out, which I have now done. Otherwise I did minor tweaking and cropping.

Sharp and well exposed with great timing ... your part and the bird !!! Just a little tight in frame. The water droplets are cut off and tight around the tail Just looking away a bit but its a strong image !!

I wish we had brown pelicans around here. I even need to travel for whites.

Very nice exposure, HA, sharpness. A lower angle would be nice as would more room at the left.

Hi Wendell,
I like the image and capture. The color rendition and sharp feather details are superb, also like the action...I too cast my vote for more room all the way around. Well done Sir, a might fine image indeed...

What a beautiful and colorful bird. Exposure techs are solid. I would love to see more of this species. I am planning a trip to Pasadena this Christmas, is this close?

Pasadena to Bolsa Chica is about 50 miles.
