I haven't had anytime out in the last little while but last Friday I made a trip to Presqu'ile Provincial Park here in Ontario. It is known as a major jumping off point for shorebirds during migration. Needless to say I was not disappointed as many species were on the beach that day. This full frame image was taken with my canon 20D and 200 f/2.8L w/ 2X TC. F/7.1 @1/640 sec, ISO 100, manual exposure at -2/3.

Great low angle and great sharpness, Wayne. May be an option to do some selective eye work to lighten the iris a little and to reduce the sheen on the beak. Sounds like a great venue.

Ditto Tony on minor PP work and possibly consider cropping the out of focus fore ground. Lovely image.

Very nice close up image. Nice lights and nice level.
I just wish the whole bird was as sharp as the bird's eye. For me it is popping up and contrast is too big between the eye and the rest of the body (sharpness wise).
