Judging by the shadow, the sun was pretty high in the horizon, but you handled the contrast pretty well. There is an orange cast in the image, easy to correct by lowering the temperature. Nice head angle and feather detail. I miss a catch light.

Fabs nailed it. I wish for a more distant BG, as well, but it looks the the bird was on an uphill slope, so that might not have been possible.

I like the head angle and the detail in the feathers. Agree on the color cast and catchlight.
