20D 100-400L IS @ ISO400 F/6.7 1/90 HANDHELD

I scared this little Red Shouldered Hawk up off lunch on the ground where he landed 40' away on the branch. It is almost impossible to see them in low light. I thought it made a nice winter scene without snow. I wonder how it would look with the snow machine throw in - Fabs. :)

Hi Bill The image has a postcard look Interesting Colors are bold for a wintery scene Not sure what the original looked like but probably was not as saturated I like the pose and animal looking at the color on the LL If you have it would be interesting seeing the original

Did a couple of changes Cropped, evicted a couple of branches and blurred the bg a bit

Hmmm postcards, never thought of that. I see what you mean. Yours indeed looks more like a photograph. I would change more for that image. Thanks for the help. I will rework it from your vantage point and repost later. I did just capture the image this Saturday in the woods near the lake. I think I like both of them for differant reasons. I'll go to work on it.

I have the solution. Open in PS, Duplicate the layer. Use Multiply as blending mode. Adjust opacity to taste :D

Dang your good - cept I'm not sure I know how to do that?? I'll work on it. I was just gonna drop exposure 3/4 of a stop and take it from there. That's how I got my original post.
