Hi Bob,

First off, I think the bird looks great. Excellent detail in the body and feathers. It does looks like the bird is headed away from you and I would prefer heading toward you. (I know sometimes its not easy. I have more images of the southbound end of northbound birds!) Also if there was just one wish I could have, it would be for a better background... something more natural looking. This looks like painted concrete. Also I am having a tough time looking down at a bird in flight. It just feels awkward to me. Still a very nice image.

Oh and one other thing. It looks more like a Green Heron than a BCNH but I've been known to be wrong... often! And maybe I am here. It could be a juvenile BCNH. I see them all winter but my memory says they are lighter in color.

Sharpness and wing position look very good. The BG makes the bird look a bit crammed in the frame and I would give it more room at the right to fly into. I agree with Ed regarding the bird flying away from you. Keep them coming!

Looks different than our N.A. birds.
Good focus on the eye.
Don'l like the dark spot behind the tail. BG--well whatga going doing about it.

Thanks a lot for the constructive comments. Would the shot have looked better if originally posted like this, sorry I am only at elementary PS stage

I definitely prefer the repost Bob - bird has more space to fly into and one can now make out the bg. Well done
