Opinions wanted on the unusual comp. The wings and tail had some motion blur, and I had already cut off the tail, so I decided to crop it tight.
I probably should have toned down the bright parts of the perch a bit...

I like the pose, eye contact and BG. As for the crop, I might crop a bit more top and bottom or try a vertical crop. Maybe a bit more contrast?

Thanks Axel. I already added some contrast, but maybe it needs a bit more.

I like the soft light, Perch, sharpness, BG, and pose.
Might try a vertical crop.

I like the detail in the face Aiden, and the unconventional crop with the body drifting away OOF. My initial thought too was that a bit more contrast might be beneficial. In Ps Curves, the Linear Contrast preset is pretty useful for this (learned that one from Artie).

Aidan, I like the unique crop and the details in the face are great. The perch and BG are both very nice. Agree w/ contrast.

Thanks all for the good advice. John, I used the linear contrast preset and it turned out nice.

Hi Aidan, great detail from the head and beak, and another vote for a vertical, adding to the bottom too. ( it should be easy to add if you dont have space from your original.)
