Another HB image from my first trip to Trinidad and my first attempt at multi-flash with hummingbirds.

Camera Canon Mk111 Lens - 500mm f4 Exp 1/200 @f29 but the actual exp. was provided by the Flash guns.
Four Canon 580's on bird, one on BG, all at 1/16th power

I like the action and pose. Sharpness and exposure look good too. I would probably eliminate the stray "twig" near the tail, and run some NR on the BG. As presented I find there is too much space behind the subject.

Beautiful sharpness and pose. I like the BG and the perch.Agree w/ Daniel on the space behind the bird. Nicely done!!

Fine image. Fine critiques. This can be made really fine with a bit more post production.

Love the pose and the head peaking out between the wings. Agree with Daniel's suggestion and I'd go for a less centered composition.

I just love it ! but have to agree with the observations above, although they are minor, will make it even better.

Outstanding Melvin. Although unconventional, I can more than live with the crop and the "peek-a-boo" adds to the out of the box feel. It is definitely an unconventional and very clever hummingbird image.

And yes, hummers actually do have feet, as evidenced here!

Amazingly sharp with lovely colours, and I like the hovering posture. Good looking perch, and I agree there is too much space on the RHS.
