Was able to capture this plover at eye level b/c I was lying flat on my belly in the wet sand as the tide went out. All I had to do was lie still, and the birds passed right in front of me.

Canon 40D, Canon 400 DO & 1.4 TC @ 560mm
F7.1, 1/1250sec, ISO 250, manual mode
Flat on my belly tripod free

C & C always welcomed and appreciated,

Marina

This is one of the best images of this species I have ever seen and I do look far and wide.

You can get more details in the belly white by going to the Image menu and going down to Adjust and sliding over and down to Brightness/Shadows. Try it , you will like it!!!:):):D;)

Marina, Beautiful details and pose. I like the low angle. I don't usually like such a tight look but for this little one I think it works. Well done.

I like the eye contact, open bill and sharpness. If it were mine I would go for a slightly wider crop.

Yep, seems a bit tight, but what a great capture nevertheless.

Love the low angle and pose .. open bill is a plus.

Agree it could use a bit more room all around.
