Back to working on the Wrens at a local preserve. Called in with audio on a set perch. I didn't pick this perch for Wrens as I thought they were gone and I wanted to get some Doves. But I heard the Wrens , so I played the audio and in they came. To good a bird to pass up.

1600 ISO (not much light this AM) F5.6 at 1/640th

Background is killer, birds pose really nice and the colors are sweet.

Beak is just a tad out of the DOF but its really nice overall... wish it were mine I tell yah..

Pose, eye contact and BG look very good. The image could go a bit darker for my taste and I would tone down the perch.

Cool wren.
I have a couple that live in my yard. I've tried to get a decent shot of them for years now. Still trying..

I like the pose and smooth background. Does seem a little pale.

Nice pose and BG. I think you've lost some details because of the high ISO or maybe in the PP.On my monitor I see some strange dark hallo around the perch...mainly on the right side and on the upper side of it.

Ditto Axel. I would darken the mid-tones a tad, and might try another pass of USM

You can do as suggested using PS CS2 or better with the Brightness/Shadows sliders under the menu of Image-Adjust.

Agree with Axel about a little darker. Great looking species.
