Well I'm taking the plunge after reading how much better Lightroom is than ACR/CS4. What is the most effective way of learning how to use this new software?

I've found the free tutorials here:

to be useful.

I would try two things:

1. www.lynda.com and do the Chris Orwig tutorials

2. Pick up a copy of Seth Resnick's book: The Photoshop Lightroom Workbook

Hope this helps.

I have read serveral books but the best resource I found were the luminous landscape tutorial they released

also checkout http://www.lightroomkillertips.com/ they have quite a bit of info that will help, I watch the RSS feed to see the new things they post and sometimes there are some small things in there that I never knew before

I'm just starting with that and CS4, previously only used Photoshope Elements and I just bought a book at B&N that I am finding helpful after trying to learn online. It is Visual Quickstart Guide "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2" @ $29.99 US. I'm just getting into it, but it is holding my interest and will be in my research library soon.

While the online are good and I have gone there as well for a number of things. I also like the index process of looking up things that I need to know to get through a problem. From the old school, still trying to understand these "Geek Machines"!

Thanks to those who posted above as well. I have copied the links and will also investigate them.

Good Luck and it's worth the effort to learn.
