This Yellowjacket wasp was feeding on goldenrod flowers. 40D, Canon 180mm macro + 25mm ext. tube, 1/60, f/8, ISO 400, macro twin light set at 1/64 power, hand-held, auto focus. I removed some flash-generated spectral highlights and cropped from a horizontal original. Comments are welcome.

Stephen this is wonderful! Perfect DOF and precise focal point on the face of the wasp. Love that he's on a matching colored plant as well. You nailed the comp in my opinion.

Hey Steve,
Great angle and nice choice of crop! You nailed the focus! That face is tack and the soft BG really makes this a winner!

Well done Steve! Face and front legs is tack sharp on an interesting angle. These type of images, when a flower is included, is sometimes difficult to get a clean backround but you succeeded...
