OMG, my most favorite shorebird in nice color and warm light! Love the effect of the light and the delicate shadow of his bill. Beautiful.

Very lovely light, great low angle of capture, sharp and well exposed as expected. Very nice.

Yep, the first light can be seen in the plummage of the bird. Verry beatifull. The bird seems to fell over a bit to the front bud that can be fake.

Hi Fabs

I still haven't managed to get one in summer colours. They are coming back in locally now will some in summer colours but are difficult to locate, unlike the winter when they seem to be everywhere! Last winter I was lying on the estuary mud within 20 yards of a 6000 strong flock when they were put up by a peregrine, the whole flock took off and flew off about 3ft above my head which was a noisey and amazing experience. I just hope if I do find one before they lose their summer colours, I can make half as good a job of it as you have done here. Love the low angle, setting, soft light and colours.

Cheers

Rich

I've never seen one of these, but this image makes me want to! Beautiful light and low angle. I love the hint of red in the reflection.

Hey Fabs,
love the light and all the other things mentioned......for some reason.....I feel a CW rotation???....since no one else mentioned it.....I do wonder. Even with that....very nicely done!

I love the sweet light, breeding plumage, and exposure control. I wish the wave in the BG wasn't there.

Agree with all thats been said in regards to the light and low angle. I might consider cropping it a small amount more?
