Greetings from Puerto Rico here I did another shot take a few weeks ago near my home

very dificult to found this species in our island.This bird is very small compared to others

this shot was made in natural light using a light rays were passing in between the sticks.

Hi Edgar,

A great shot of a beautiful species. Very good exposure, nice light, extremely shallow DOF keeps focus on the bird's eye. Some of the lighter BG areas in top left and bottom left I'd tone down a bit if it were mine. Wish for some eye contact, but still a spectacular shot!

I agree with what Erich said. If only the head was turned to us a bit youd have a winner here. Very gorgeous bird species that I've never seen before.

Cool bird, BG, and lighting. I wish for more eye contact, and the angle seems a bit steep.

Oh man, if only the bird had looked your way instead of away!! I normally don't mind shallow DOF when the bird is focussed properly on the eye (as it is here), but I think upping the ISO and stopping down would have been good for a bit of additional DOF on the perch (which is pretty cool BTW). Thanks for sharing this neat little species!!
