One of the night blooming water lilies from Longwood Gardens.....they were open for a short time as we got there early. It almost looks like I applied a PP effect......just levels, curves, sharpness and LCE.
Canon 1D Mark lll with the Sigma 180mm macro hand held at f32 and 1/100 sec and ISO 800 with the MT24 twin lights at +1/3. I love the fact they add black ink to the water!

Roman, Before I read your statement-I would have thought you used a PP filter on that flower. It's beautiful! The lighting and the colors are fantastic!

Man, I would have bet you tinkered with this one! Nice work, although for my taste, I like the other softer versions you have been showcasing lately. This one seems to have lost that delicate quality I love so much in water lilies. Not that it's not perfectly lovely - the colors just feel a little too strong to me in this one. I'm sure that's what others like about it, though!

I am with Julie on this one. Great image but I feel that color and contrast are overpowering the subject.

Just love it!

Amazing sharpness for that DOF.
