The high-key looks suits the Gannet. I like the webbed feet against the white sky. Nice exposure and sharpness. How did you meter?

How did you meter?
Light was fairly constant so started with +2 off the sky (Evaluative), fine tuned by checking the histogram on test images that included the brightest parts of any of the thousands of Gannets sitting in front of me in the same light, and then locked in the exposure using Manual Mode.
Made small adjustments whenever light did change.

Excellent exposure Mike, and love the landing angle. The gannet itself stands out against the light BG, but the wing tips and feet really pop even more. Great capture.

Very artistic image Mike and very well exposed I must say. The soft light and the white background works very fine in my opinion

I only wish we could see more of either the top or bottom of the wings. Otherwise neat image, I like the overlight effect of the white on white.
