This alpine butterfly was my first dew-laden insect taken over 10 years ago
Canon EOS 5, Canon 100 macro, Kodachrome 25, Natural light, 8 secs F16, Tripod;)

An absolute beaut with stunning detail. Strange to see Kodachrome after all these years and 25 ASA at that. Please let us know where this was this shot. . . .

Thanks for your comments David - this image was captured in a sphagnum moss bog in the alpine region of the southern tablelands of New South Wales.

Hi John,

Almost perfect what can i say, super with great details and smooth BG.

To enhance it i would take out a little green in curves.

Stunning. I would like to see the butterfly selectively sharpened just a bit to bring up the dew drops.

Being critical I think this presentation could perhaps be improved by a little bit of USM - but this is a minor fix, and perhaps taste related. Other than this aspect - what can one say, it is a beautiful shot of a beautiful subject
