2 of a small flock over a local sewage lagoon - very skittish because of a marauding Peregrine in the area..

D300, 300 ED-IF F/4 + TC-17E2, hand-held.

ISO 800, 1/2500 at F6.7.

C and c welcome.

Richard

I like how the birds are in similar pose and they seem to be in the same plane of focus too.

The under wing shadow is lost, if you shoot RAW you might be able to recover some details. Also is this a heavy crop?

Hi Richard

I like seeing these guys captured in flight !!! Did well finding in frame and holding focus Almost go the eye really sharp Does look like a crop from the dof shown but a keeper in my book. Excellent flight pose and well exposed !!! That 300 with converters along with the crop factor camera can do real well !!!

Hi,

The image was originally shot in Raw (.nef) and converted to jpeg in Lightroom. There was a moderately heavy crop.

Thanks,

Richard
