Photographed in March in Alviso, CA. Wish I had gone for more DOF to have the tail in focus too but light was low and I wanted to have the OOF background. Can't always have everything. :o

I agree with your self critique, but the exposure and detail that you have captured in the feathers is excellent. I would have gone for some more space around the subject as well.

The eye and head are nice and sharp. I find the lower right protruding oof perch, distracting, but think it is an overall nice behavior image....and I would be thrilled to see "Just an Anna"
