Here's another color shift monarch, this time a green one. I used the hue/saturation tool and desaturated the BG. I did two versions of this, in the second one I darkened the BG to give it a glow-in-the-dark look. Would like to know which version you prefer and why. Any C&C are welcome!

Christopher, I've been back and forth w/ the 2 and I think I like #2 with maybe some rim light around the top of the BF wings and head. I like the way it glows. Nicely thought out.

I agree about #2 being better and the only thing I was thinking that the head area was dark. I am not sure how to execute Denise's suggestion, but I'd definitely give that a shot. It would lift the image big time. :)

Hi Christopher, The 2nd one is probably stronger due to the backround being darker which makes the butterfly stand out more.Very creative!

Hi, Christopher, another vote for the 2nd one. It's a really neat idea and well done.:)

Thanks everyone! Looks like the 2nd is the definite favorite. I tried adding a little rim light to the head and the top of the wings as Denise suggested. Let me know what you think.

I like this a lot and your last post I think is the "final answer". Well done! I've been working on something a little bit similar, hope you don't mind...
