Mark III with 500 and 2x with flash @-1/3
ISO 400, f 13.0 1/200
I hoped to get them both in focus. In most of the shots it didn't happen even at f 13.0

Great capture, birds are nice and sharp. Looks light the whites are blown from the side light. I might crop a little off both sides. Over all it is one I wish I had.

Just love those expressions!!! And both with open beaks!!!! Love the composition. The side/rim light doesn't bother me at all. Where and when did you catch these cuties?

A beauty, or I should say, two beauties, Susan.
You might try lightening/sharpening the eyes a bit.

Great pair, they look so funny! The repost is improved. I would desaturate the greens a few points and tone down the whites a little.

Here is my repost suggestion. Less saturation in the greens and whites toned down.

I used the magic wand tool to select the bright parts and decreased the lightness about 5 points.

Thanks Susan. Where is Hutchinson Island? Do you need a boat to get there? My I assume that these are free and wild birds???
