i have no clue what this guy was doing, but thought it was quite cool. thinking it works although it is not looking at us. it's an assassin bug from the fruit and spice park last friday.

D300, Sigma 150, f/6.3, 1/800s, 0EV, ISO 1600, flash fill

An interesting perspective for sure. Perhaps not too much of that leave is needed? As is, I'd sharpen the eyes a bit. Now it just need to find some audience :D:D

Hehehe...:D:p I like this a presented Doctor...this is indeed too funny...I like the placement of your subject in frame...you have good color rendition and fine sharp details...well done Sir...keep them coming...:cool:

thanks jeff. they are sharp already. i guess i need to get rid of some of the highlights in them to make em look sharper.

Actually it is very easy to do. You just need to increase the contrast, make the dark part darker. Or just darken teh eye to make it stands out more from the background. You increase the contrast, you enhance the impression of sharpness. Zoom in and you can work on it easily.

Great thread !!!

I like the assassin and placement Space is just fine, zooming in on the bug will lose the impact.

Good call on the darkening since does look sharper Lots of ways to do so, one is curves. In the latest CS you can just click and drag on the selected area !!!

Excellent image Harold ... made the assassin look good !!! Hope after all the plant work there will be some left !!!!

like the repost. That eye looks great now...much improvement!. I would consider toning down the front curled leaf. just a thought....great shot!
