Good look at the bird's breast, and I like the mossy perch. I wish the bird had been making better eye contact with you. Looking at your camera settings, I might have gone with f/8 and a slightly faster shutter speed; you don't really need f/11 for this kind of pose and faster speed can help keep things sharp. Thanks for sharing!

Great capture Steve. I too like the character in the perch and the good look at the foot and talons for me is always a plus in raptor images.

Very nice pose, background and exposure. Looks sharp, but I see a halo around teh beak so the sharpening is a bit high.

Nice catch, perch, and pose. I agree it is a bit oversharpened.

Love the moss on the perch and the position of the bird. I do wish for more eye contact and the edges of the perch look funny to me (especially the bottom). It may have been from the sharpening.

I like the perch and the view of the bird. As others have mentioned, a bit more of a head turn from the bird wold have been nice.

Lovely image of a lovely bird, Stephen, but would have to agree with Doug about keeping the f value to 8 or even less.
